Trash Collection
Residential trash is collected weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, based on your assigned collection route.
Recycling Collection
Recycling collection is collected every other week on Wednesdays.
Holiday Schedule
There is no collection on Indedepence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day.
One Convenient Bill
Your residential collection service is included with your monthly City of La Grange utility bill.

Cart Placement
When to Place Carts

Place by 7 AM on collection day (or after 8 PM the night before).

Remove carts from curb by 8 PM on collection day.
Where to Place Carts

At the curb, at least 4 feet away from other carts, mailboxes, vehicles, trees, poles, and meters.

Arrows on the lid face the street; wheels face your home.
Do NOT Place Carts

On sidewalks, water or gas meters, or cable/electrical boxes.

All household garbage should be:
Bagged + Tied + Securely Inside Your Cart
Make sure the cart lid can close completely.
Do not place loose trash or bags on top of or beside the cart. Only garbage placed inside the cart will be collected.
