Recycling 101

At BVR Waste & Recycling, we're proud of our customers who make recycling part of their routine - but electronics continue to be a common mistake. Items like TVs, computers, printers, and phones are considered e-waste and do not belong in your curbside recycling (or trash) bin. These devices contain hazardous materials that can pose safety risks and contaminate other recyclables when improperly disposed of.

Thankfully, recycling e-waste is easy and accessible! Texas law requires manufacturers to offer free recycling programs, and you can find options at TexasRecyclesComputers.org, TexasRecyclesTVs.org, or through sites like greenergadgets.org. Many retailers also provide in-store collection bins.

The bottom line? If it plugs in or powers up, skip the bin and recycle it the right way. When in doubt, give a call - we're here to help you recycle smarter!
